Tips for Time Management

Time management is a key to success. If you want to be successful in life, then you need to manage your time in a very good manner. We all have only twenty-four hours in a day. Some people do maximum work in a day and some just give excuses. Now, time management is becoming an important skill to do your work on time.

Let's understand some points that will help you to manage your time and will help you to do your work on time.

1. *Divide your work on the basis of priority* - Divide your work on the basis of priority. The most important and urgent work will be at top of the list. Divide your daily work on these bases-

a. *Important and Urgent* Do these tasks right away.

b. *Important but not urgent* - Decide when to do these tasks.

c. *Urgent but not important* - Delegate these tasks if possible.

d. *Not urgent and not important* - Set these aside to do later.

2. *Set a time limit to complete a work* - Set time for your day-to-day tasks and try to complete the work within the time limit. In this place, your priority is at the top. It will help you to complete your work on time and you will do it more efficiently.

*3. Take intervals* - For doing work with efficiency, it is a must to take intervals. It will help you to stay focused, relaxed and calm. But always remember taking an interval doesn't mean wasting your time. Take an interval of 5-10 minutes only and, after that, continue your work.

*4. Plan a day ahead* - Make sure you start every day with a clear idea of what you need to do today. For this, organize your work a day before. So it will save your time to choose what to do or what not.

*5. Avoid distraction* - In today's life, the internet is a necessity for everyone, but it is also a big cause of distraction. Emails, calls and social media are distracting from work. We should to know how to use the internet.

*6. Self-Motivation* - Time management and self-motivation are interrelated or you could call it a smart choice for brilliant people. Successful people are motivated enough with their time and complete their tasks regularly.

I will conclude with the following lines-

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life." Steve Jobs

Character is the essence of Good Management by Prof. Anuradha Mishra, SICA College, Indore

CHARACTER IS THE ESSENCE OF GOOD MANAGEMENT Once Dave Ulrich, the Michigan-based HR guru stated that “Everything about leadership radiates from character.” The world knows that people who became successful business leaders had shown a great deal of integrity, commitment and strength of character. They demonstrated a remarkable amount of integration between thought, word and deed. They established themselves as  honest, transparent and trustworthy individuals.  People with character have strong sense of values. Having a sense of values means being guided in your thinking and actions by an inner code of standards and abstaining from what you consider as wrong. Values are built in organizations as well.  Take the example of TATA group: 26/11 was the biggest crisis, TATA Group ever faced. But during the attacks, the hotel staff of TAJ Hotel displayed acts of heroism, including janitor, waiter, captain , directors, artisans. The staff not only showed courage by protecting peop...

The meaning of Life By Prof. Sarvesh Mishra , SICA College, Indore

The meaning of Life The meaning of life is that it is completely devoted towards the great goal. Every moment of life should be lived in such a way that tomorrow, when we look back on that moment, we should not be ashamed, life is a long series of problems.  It gives birth to anxiety and guilt, it challenges our courage and infuses courage in us to face them, it hurts and teaches us something, so do not run away from problems, welcome them. Since the problems are endless, therefore the story of progress is the name of a continuous process, life is like a constant flow like the river, which collides with the rocky shores to complete the journey to the ocean (goal), life is not a name to stay.  The law of nature is to either go ahead or be ready to perish. Don't run away from life, stay awake in life. The goal is achieved, Karma Shakti is dispersed as soon as the focus is on the fruit. By focusing the inner 'Karmshakti Punj' on the target, like Arjuna, one has to focus on...
